RVLocks on BayStar door?

I am thinking about swapping the stock door lock/handle on my 2019 BayStar with one of those fancy ones from RVLocks. Has anyone here used them before, and if so, does the Class C/A model swap out for the Newmar one?

This is the specific one I'm considering....

I really want one. You may just love not having to carry a key ring all of the time. Sadly we have the more upright type of lock and cannot use these. There are those who do mot consider them reliable. I think that even a year or two of life would be worth it though.

It's hard to tell without comparing the two. I changed my front door lock assembly for a chrome one, that Neal C first found and did. We both ordered the same lock and mine came with a notch in the deadbolt striker (needed on Newmar doors) and his didn't. It was any easy swap, but as you can see, there can be subtle differences.

I see the lock is available on Amazon Prime. You might want to buy it there so if it doesn't fit, it would be an easy return. I like the idea of the keyless entries as we never carry our RV keys.

Will follow to see how it goes for you. Would like to use on my Canyon Star but not comfortable with having to do any retro fitting--need drop in and bolt up and good fit. If you do go ahead take a video or pix to post with your install please.

I went and took pictures of my lock and sent it off to RVLock. Judging from what I'm seeing, I won't be able to make the swap. Like Kahoona said, mine is 'taller'. The RVLock locks are about 5.5" square(ish). Mine is 5.5" wide, but 7.5" tall.

Aaaaaand it's confirmed. They don't make locks to fit the Newmar doors. Oh well, guess I'll just need to be extra careful with where I lay my keys.
