Samsung 197 Conversion in Newmar-----WORRIED!!!

I am well past committed to converting from Norcold 1200 to the Samsung 197. ( I got $21.00 at the scrap dealer for the Norcold.........and the Samsung is ordered and due Feb 20..... I think I am committed).

Before I launched into this project I measured and measured, now that everything is torn out I am worried that the Samsung is going to be too tall. My rig is a '04 Koumtry Star, Gas. 3704 I think. The furnace/ heater is under the fridge. It calls for 1" clearance on top for combustibles. To maintain that clearance it looks like I am going to be 1/2" short on the total height.

Has anyone made this conversion in a Newmar, that has the heater under the fridges??

I did it in a 2005 MADP 4304. I have 1" of clearance above the furnace.
If you are replacing a 1200 LRIM, it should fit...the dimensions are similar.
Keep in mind that the specs for the Samsung can be misleading...overall height is greater than the height of the refer box...the electronic controls mount on top of the refer box, increasing overall height.
You will need to anchor the fridge to your deck. There are several methods available, none of them simple.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Good luck!
