I investigated lots of different options, elbows, replacing the center section of the Valterra double valve etc. In the end since I don't leave it hooked up and don't plan to, its quick to attach and dump, I just put the cam lock on the end like David does in his video.

The standard hose and head along with a 22' extension fit easily into the built in sewer hose storage bin.

This is not true ant least on my DS, the drain valves swivel up and the Sanicon passes through the hole with the black disc closing the opening in the floor. I thought the same at first.

In 2017 on the Dutch Star, Sanicon was only available as a Special (not on the retail option list). Now, I believe Sanicon is offered on the option list for 2018. Dealer cost as a Special was $668 as a Special & that is what I paid. It was done in production & I like that it is covered under the Newmar warranty.

Thanks for your input.

I was trying to have the best of all worlds.
- Sanicon for quick dumps
- The the cam lock system for direct hook up
- Automatic valves for longer stays hooked up to run with Sanicon or 3 inch dump. So door can be closed. See Dutchstar Don setup on automatic black tank valve.

Newmar does not make it easy due to the piping set up and as mentioned not enough space for camlock system with door closed.

I did see someone have an elbow adapter with the twist system with the camlock attached to it. The elbow rotated (joint that might leak).

The other limiting factor is the 1.5 inch grey tank line for getting a 3 inch automated dump valve (now they do have an adapter for that that needs to be cut in.

The Tiffin set up that Bott shows is very camlock Friendly.

I like camlock since they are used to transport dangerous chemicals.....

You do have the best of 2 worlds..

Not sure where you got the idea that you cannot easily switch from sanicon to the stinky slinky???
You can in about 3 seconds. Not a big deal at all.

You don't think that if you are at a rally & you need to have a dump wagon come that they use the sanicon do you? They simply twist off the sanicon & attack their slinky. When done they reconnect your sanicon hose.

I was looking to get the cam lock fitting hoses that are different than the twist lock. Thanks Stuart.

The suction hose to the SaniCon never completely drains, so swapping to the slinky and back again is a bit of work I'd rather not do. But here's something helpful: Install a clear 90* elbow below the y-pipe for the stiffer-than-heck SaniCon suction hose to attach. In my application, getting the SaniCon suction hose to make that 90* from horizontal to vertical ended up breaking one of the bayonet ears off the y-pipe, which caused the connection to leak. The clear 90* elbow gets rid of that tight bend in the stiff suction hose and allows me to see what's entering the SaniCon and how good my rinse job was.

Like the 90 dog bend idea.

Sanicon Turbo just needs twisted on and 12v, right?
If it’s that easy, no reason to have manufacturer install right? Let me know if I’m missing something.
My issue exactly for my DS 2018 4362 being ordered from Midway - they don't recommend the Sanicon - your dealer experience?

Did you install electric black/gray water valves, or keep the manual?

Reported Sanicon mechanical issues, also with electric black/gray valves. When trade-in arrives they are both removed and restored to original manual. What are the experiences of the owners? I like the idea of the Sanicon turbo and electric valves with switch in half bath, but getting mixed signals. Your thoughts?
