How can I put the sanitizing solution in the fresh water tank? The water hose is the only way to get water in the tank. Please help.

Using a funnel, pour solution into hose. Connect hose to fw inlet and turn on water. Solution will be carried into tank with water when valve moved to tank fill.

Your Dutch Star likely has a Winterizing system. Just Mix up your sanitizing solution in a container put the winterizing tube/Hose in container turn on the pump and then turn the Fresh Water fill to the tank fill position and the solution will be sucked out of the container into the Fresh Water Tank.

Another way to do it has been posted also. I found a reference to it in this post, but there were better posts I could not find:

I also have a 2004 Dutchstar.Easy way to sanitize is to remove house water filter in water compartment, fill filter canister with 1 cup of bleach, screw filter canister back in place and open tank fill.Fill tank to full and let set as desired.
Make sure you remove filter before doing this.

All good suggestions, I have found easiest way to get into your fresh water tank is fill your water hose with bleach and turn your valve to tank in that way you will be bleaching out your hose and filling tank. Than run pump to get through plumbing system let set for a while than flush out with fresh water. You can also run through water heater to get rid of egg smelling hot water.

A little off subject, but has to do with the water smell. Back in June had service done to MH including checking and if needed replacing anote rod in hot water heater. Rod was almost new very little wear so did not replace service said they saved me a few bucks. 4/5 months later had rotting egg smell coming from hot water, check rod still had very little wear, but bottom of tank was loaded with all types of junk.
Now for the rest of the story. In the past we would have the hot water heater service along with all other service done once a year, from what it looks like the hot water heater was never back flushed. The DW wants me to flush the tank every 6 moths now.

I would not put straight bleach in the filter canister. It should be diluted before it gets to any part of your water supply system.
Even though I have the winterizing hose, I still use a funnel to pour diluted bleach solution into my fresh water hose. That way I sanitize it as well.

Handy item to flush out all that crud is this flushing tool attached to your water hose.
The egg smell can come from standing water during hot weather and different waters while traveling. I do not think the water will hurt you but sure smells at times.
The ROD is to protect the Suburban tank lining from different waters while traveling.

How much solution do you use? I think my tank is 150 gallons.
