I'll be taking the coach to Newmar on May 27 for a few days of work. While there, I thought I might go ahead and finish the Direct TV installation. I have the dome already installed. I just need the receiver and the service.
Is there a qualified dealer in the factory area who could install the receiver, help me sign up for the service, and make sure it all works, before I leave the area?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Do you have direct TV at home? If yes the receiver will work in the M/H with your existing service...less local network. If you want network (distant network-New York and Los Angeles) you'll need to discuss with DirecTV or check their website for required information and provide them with a copy of your RV registration and complete a form that they have available on the internet.

Don't have Direct TV at home, so I'll be a new subscriber. I know there are several "flavors" of service - mobile, local, national local - so I'll take any advice any of you have to offer. Thanks for the replies so far,
B.

We have mobile services and find that a great help as we travel as we can watch something we missed from NY and see it 3 hrs later on the LA stations.
I know we could tape the show and play it back at a later time, but we usely remember after we left the MH.
Newmar recommends Duncan RV for non-warrarty and after market work.

Because we use our home receiver when traveling our service includes the hBO premium channels as wellas the big package plus we have the distant networks using our RV registration to qualify. We are in our coach 5-6 months of the year. So far we have not had any reception problems, except weather related/trees, traveling through the country from West coast to East coast, British Columbia/Alberta.
