Satellite Set up.

2017 Ventana Le 4037 Satellite dish.

New to me is this coach. I plan on taking my High Def Direct TV receiver from my home and using it in the coach.
I do not have any manuals at home as the coach is in storage and is over an hours drive away.

Once installing the receiver do I have to make changes to the receiver settings? The dish set up,any setting changes, procedures etc.?

Audio settings on amp settings and TV.

What kind of a satellite parabolic antenna is it?? If it's a Winegard Travlr then you don't need to do anything.

Plug in the receiver, and then give it five minutes off, but connected to power. It will self install/configure itself to the antenna on the roof. A DTV Tech person told me that for my H24 receiver, and it works each time I switch between the RV and the house with it.

If it's a Winegard Travler and set to DirecTV, you may get lucky. It should be set to DirecTV settings. If it's a Winegard Travler made for a Dish receiver, you may be out of luck because it can't be converted to DirecTV as far as I know.

Plug in your receiver, turn the sat dish on and let it find the satellites. Then turn on the receiver and see if it fires up and works with your DirecTV receiver.

If it doesn't, give Winegard a call and see if they have a way to identify what company it's set for Dish or DirecTV and go from there.

If it's an RF Mogul, I think you can follow the same as above.

Update as requested.

The prior owner used direct TV, which I also use. The dish is a Winegard Traveler for Direct TV. My Direct TV receiver is either H24 or H25.

Robert.....just a suggestion....we didn't want to keep dragging a house unit out to the coach, plus it's hard on the HDMI connectors. We use an HR24 (recorder). It's $10.00 a month extra, plus we can record on the road and more importantly fast forward or reverse when we miss something. I would install a second Genie in the coach, but DirecTv won't allow two Genies on one account.
