Has anyone tried to retrofit something like the magnetic gasket on the shower door to the screen door. I am so tired of my screen door popping open in the wind or for every little other reason. Also having to slide the slide thing open each time we open or shut the door is annoying. It seems to me some type of magnetic closure would be the answer. I just don't know where to start looking for parts. With all the brainpower we have in the forum members I would believe the problem can be solved.

Thanks

You might try putting one strip of magnetic (flexible rubber) tape on each surface and see if that will hold it. The magnetic tape stuff is sold in hobby stores , walmart etc. I tried it on a mirror door to a medicine cabinet in one motor home that did not hold very well. I thought the magnet was not strong enough. Don't know if there are stronger ones than I had.
