Screen on screen door keeps popping out

Hi all,
We have a 2017 Ventana LE 3709 and the screen on the entry door keeps popping out on the left side. It appears to be just a slot for the screen to track in. The right seems to stay in the track ok. Anyone else have this issue? If so did you resolve it?

My 18 DS doesn’t pop out, the metal rod at the top seems to long and shifts to one side and gets stuck not allowing the shade to pull down in the track. How does the top rod look on yours? If it’s to short I think it would cause your concern. Stuart

Hi - When the coach was nearly new the screen would sometimes pop out in places when moving it up or down. I sprayed some silicone spray into both tracks on the side and the issue has been resolved. The issue seemed to be that there was some slight binding from friction and the silicone solved it.

I also have the 2017 Ventana 3709, and the screen comes out all the time. I originally thought it was when the grandkids were around, however, the wind also makes it come out. Last September, we were at Newmar factory and was told that the screens are very sensitive (really?). So we just unlatch it, move it all the way up, pull it back down and latch it again. We find the wind is the biggest culprit. Poor design.

I finally got fed up with this stupid door screen design.I removed the screen and had a custom screen with a fixed frame made for about $50. I just screwed that frame onto the door.Easy fix. Yes, I can't open that screen anymore but so what?

X2 on the silicone spray, it does the trick and you will find that the screen will work flawless.

Got the silicone and sprayed today. Will let you know how it works on our next outing.

Just got back from our latest trip, and after spraying silicone as suggested on this thread I had no issues. Hope this helps others.

I apologize for asking what might seem like a dumb question, but when would you slide up that screen? Wouldn't bugs come in?

I slide it up while I am driving for better visibility. When parked, I always have it down.
