Seat Belt Anchor Points

Does anyone know how Newmar provides the anchor point within the walls of their coaches? Being of shorter stature I would like to consider lowering the anchor point to make the belt more comfortable to where. Some autos and maybe upper line coaches use a sliding anchor but my Ventana LE does not. I've tried the belt clips that are made for something like this but they do not work very well. I've called Newmar but their response on this matter is pretty cool at best.

Newmar will not tell you that the anchorage point can be moved as this will invalidate their DOT certificate. Dealers will not do it for fear of liability, so I am afraid you are on your own.

I'm Not short, but also have the problem of the seat belt shoulder strap being too high and unconfortable; so would like to hear a solution. My solution is that I take the shoulder strap of my shoulder and push it under the left hand arm rest and just use the lap belt.

I also have the clip that fits on the shoulder strap to keep it off my neck, but it's a nuisance so don't use it often.

I figured that the lawyers had their say in this at Newmar. I would simply like to know whats in the wall that the anchor point is fastened to and how. Does the AP (its threaded steel when you look into it) consist of a floor to ceiling steel bar or is it a steel fitting which is fastened to one of the aluminum or sheet steel studs?
