I have a 2005 dsdp 3815 spartan chassis ISL 370 hp engine. Can't seem to find the secondary fuel filter. Called Spartan they said I have one on the right side of engine. Anyone have this model maybe could help.
Thanks,
Knot-Fly'n

Both fuel filters are under the big black cover under the batteries. Remove the cover and you will see both filters sitting side by side.

Here is a picture of your filters.

My 2001 DSDP has th primary under the batteries and the secondary that has the water in fuel sensor next to the engine. It is on the right side looking at it from the rear.

Thanks Norm, the picture is same as I have on the coach. What confused me was Spartan saying it was on the right side of the engine. I gave him my ven # so he should have known. Anyway thanks again.

Some of those covers fell off and some broke so the owners took them off. The only purposes of the cover is to made the filter area look neat and keep debris off the filters and lines. Driving without the cover won't hurt anything.

rcatter,

I have a 2003 Dutch star as well and it did not have a second fuel filter. I had my local cummins shop add one after having several fuel problems with the lift pump. I have not had a problem since and have logged some 4000 miles.
