Separated sidewall at end cap. Great Newmar Service

I removed our 2014 Canyon Star from storage last week to get it ready for summer travels. While cleaning the outside I found the right rear outside wall separated from the rear cap leaving about an 18" long gap between the side wall and end cap. Called our dealer Coachlight RV in Carthage Missouri to set up and appointment to have inspected. Also called Newmar customer service. They requested pictures to decide if they were going to assist in the repair. I received notice in less than 24 hours that Newmar was going to repair the side wall at no cost. Newmar Goodwill gesture. Mike at Newmar customer service was great to work with. Nothing but good things to say about Newmar standing behind their products. We are definitely happy campers

We had the same positive experience with a sidewall separation on our 2014 Ventana LE last year..just before trading it in on the new coach. Newmar asked for photos and immediately stepped up to cover it.

Our repair was done at Guaranty RV in Junction City, Oregon, and their body shop did an amazing job. You couldn't find any trace of the problem with a magnifying glass when they were finished.

Newmar takes care of its customers!

Sorry to say I didn't have the same experience. Our 2011 King Aire did exactly the same thing. After many discussions with the factory guys (sent them pictures and videos) the final answer from them was to bring it all the way back to the factory and they said they would repair it and offer some sort of courtesy "help". They weren't very specific, but I understand that maybe they need to see what it needed.
I gotta believe this is not a unique problem.
I certainly could not live with this gap in the body (same as pictured above but even longer and wider) and since we are in So Cal and had to get it fixed here on my dime. :-(
