Another dumb newbie question. My '03 KSDP has a Cat engine. The service manual calls for an oil and filter change (among other things) every "11,000 miles or 1,100 gallons of fuel or 250 service hours or 6 months." I'm coming up on 6 months but I and the previous owner have probably put a total of 400 miles on the coach during that period. My plan was to change the oil when I de-winterize in a couple of months but I'm concerned that if I wait until then (~9 months since the last change) I may jeopardize my extended service contract. Does anyone have definitive info on this?

Thanks.

Your well under the 11,000 miles and 1,100 gals, I service in spring dewinterize and change in fall to fresh oil change before winterizing.
Just keep your slips and records.
Do not see why it would be any different for your DP.

Cummins recommends changing oil after storage. The reason is that moisture will combine with sulfur creating sulfuric acid along with some other similar type reactions during the storage and go into oil. Changing after storage provides fresh oil for the driving season.

First, I think your manual may be a generic and not specific to RV's. I've never seen any requirement other than 11,000 mile or 1 yr which is simialr to Cummins 15,000/1 year. I checked the RV web site and it shows this same number . Go there and then follow mid-range link.

Thanks, Ecker. That's a valuable link you provided--hadn't seen it. If I read it correctly, my PM1 service interval is 11,000 miles or 1 year, much more reasonable.
