Hi all - I am having slide out issues - front passenger slide/kitchen does not operate. I am a long long way from home and looking for any suggestions or recommendations about a quality ( newmar ) service facility in maybe the Virginia area, N Carolina area or Tennessee area. Obviously I would prefer not to have to wait a month or 6 weeks for an appointment. Thank you

Turn off battery disconnect for about a minute after turning it back on you may have to hold in the slide switch for about 30 seconds. Worked for me on our previous coach. Worth a try.

Thank you Switt - but it is not something quite as simple as an electrical switch thing - like a controller or switch or something. The slide had dropped down on the front edge and it appears the front roller has gone bad - it is binding when the slide motor is operated - the rear portion of the slide moves in but the front portion does not, we had to force it in just to be able to travel.

In North Carolina I'd recommend Howard RV in Wilmington. They have been a Newmar service location for many years, they did all my warranty work back in 2008-2009. They no longer sell Newmars but were still listed by Newmar for service last time I checked. We liked them enough that we drove from Raleigh to use them.

Try Buddy Gregg in Knoxville Tennessee tell them you are on the road and they should work you in. They have a camp ground on site. Also Tom Johnson Marion North Carolina off of I40 past Asheville. Also Campfire rv
repair Marion North Carolina. Owner is Mike Gunter very good and knows Newmar in and out.
