Mine is a Ventana, Freightliner chassis and Cat C7 engine. My question regards annual service. Both chassis and engine need service annually. Is it better to use the Freightliner service facility that can also service Cat engines, or use the Cat service facility that can also service Freightliner chassis?

There is Opus Kane for Freightliner in nearby San Antonio and Holt Cat in San Antonio for Cat engines. Both work on motorhomes.

For routine service my choice would be chassis service facility that is authorized to do service on engine.

For routine service, I agree with Spike.

And I havehunted out independent shops who charge MUCH LESS that FL or CAT.

I hang around and keep my eyes open, sometimes providing them information, for instance a diagram of the chasis lube locations, but a good independent can save you a pot full of money.
