Shake Down of new 2019 DS 4328 with Spartan Chassis

We finally took the new coach out for a five day shakedown this past week. Everything went well but there are a few things I need to ask about on the forum:
1. The first thing the CP asked about when we started (her first experience in this coach) was the bouncing. The coach does have a tendancy to bounce more than our 2015 DS 4028. I did have Koni EVOs installed on the old coach but expected that this 2019, with the improved Bilstiens, would not have this type of ride going down the road. Is porpoising still an issue with the Spartan chassis?
2. The windshield wipers are very bad. They do not make contact with the windshield consistantly over the blade length. Is this another Spartan issue or is this a specific problem for my coach?
3. The dash cooling doesn't seem to be as effective as the FL cooling we had on the 2015. Also, at the far right end of the dash, there are two vents, one on top of the other. The lower of the two has cool air coming out but the top vent has nothing. Is this normal? What is the purpose of the upper vent?
4. Last, the TV over the front dash worked well until Saturday night. Now it will not turn on. I can't find the plug or determine if this is a power issue or a TV issue. As I said it worked on Friday night but not on Saturday and the coach never moved.

As always, thanks for your help.

We have had ours since October, but until this past Saturday we hadn't driven it far. But we have lived it in it since January.

1. We came from a Phaeton on a FL chassis, so our perspective may be different, but we find ours rides quite well and we do not have any significant bouncing.
2. It rained hard on us in GA both Saturday and Sunday, I agree on the wipers and will be looking for a way to improve them. Cleared the windshield in front of me fine, it didn't go far enough to the passenger side to see the mirror clearly.
3. No input on this one.
4. Ours did as well, we had to take the back off the cabinet, it is just glued in with a silicon glue and will come off with a little muscle. I used velcro to re-attach it. Then unplugged and plugged it back in. It then came back on. On the advice of some other forum members, I made sure it was connected to the internet and did an software update. It has been fine since.

Only #1 may be a Spartan issue, all the rest are Newmar.
Quote: "Is porpoising still an issue with the Spartan chassis?" I was not aware that porpoising was ever a problem with Spartan. I have owned 3, with no issues.
As for your TV, is the ignition on? This would cause a no power condition. The A/C is an Evans, the same as would have been on your FL.

The upper vent may be defrost for the entry door window.

the evans dash air is prone to leaking. I would get to a shop that is evans approved and have it diagnosed.
Do not take it to spartan or your dealer unless evans sends you there first. Their setup requires much less pressure, and has very specific oil requirements.

On my 2013, the leak was in the o-rings where the main pressure lines attached to the evans unit under the front hood. THis entire area was covered with a lot of expanding foam, and it required removing all the foam to properly detect the leak.

#2 - Not sure but assume, blade length is not long enough to reach sides of windshield when operating. See if longer blades are in order. Search here on this forum, as a discussion on wiper blades occurred, but I won't pay 75 dollars for wiper blades. If this coach is new (assumed), the these items are warranty and as such, you should have dealer or Newmar correct them. At least start process of fixing them with them first, they may send you to Evans as one poster reported. The TV is a lose connection, and it might need S/W update, as stated. Some of those have been sitting in boxes in factory for a while, suspect all the electronics need new updates, i.e., dash radio and GPS if equipped as well.

RE front-end bouncing: experienced this with my 2015 Cornerstone when new. Ride height and tag suspension pressure were not set properly at the factory.

I would not get to excited about the ride characteristics until had the coach corner weighted, adjust the tire pressures and set the ride height.

We don't have the porpoising issue with our 40' 18 model. I had a wiper issue with the drivers side wiper not clearing the last 1/3 of the stroke and it took Newmar CS 2 attempts to get it corrected. The PSide has worked fine. Our dash air has and continues to work fine but the 18s have a different dash and air outlets than the 19s.

I have had the same problem with our front and bedroom TV. Updating the software seemed to help, but still have the issue occasionally. The easiest fix is to just turn off the circuit breaker for that outlet and turn it back on.
