Attended a skeet shooting tournament in Bakersfield,CA where the temp was 102 during the day. I was thoroughly grateful to come off the field into a air conditioned coach and have a cool drink with ice cubes . At one point I was a full house and standing room only with visitors getting out of the heat. They too were grateful. The margarita blender was exercised thoroughly in the early evening hours.

Today through Sunday, we are at the Big Sky skeet tournament in Missoula, Montana. Overcast this morning with mid-70s expected today, and sunny with low 80s for the weekend. A little more pleasant than you had, Sheridan.

It was 90+* and Humid. I was prepping DP for next trip and noticed water coming out from under Fridge. I had disconnected the ice maker last fall and I forgot to put it back on. To my dismay the coupler had literally disintegrated and I got a refreshing shower and a front bath before getting the water off and pressure relieved. It sure did feel good in the heat and now all fixed. Hurrah!!!!

Drive safe and enjoy - Richard

I love BBQ oysters and no shucking involved. Put them on the grill, cover, and in a few minutes they open enough on their own so you can easily open them all the way. Put a spoonful of BBQ sauce or a butter and garlic sauce on them, cover, and wait until they are bubbling hot. DELICIOUS!!

Share something fun you did while RVing recently

Did a 3500 mile round trip from Illinois to Niagara Falls and upstate New York then stopped in Pigeon Forge Tennessee on the way to Ft Walton Beach Florida. Saw Niagara, rode an alpine coaster in TN and had breakfast with dolphins in Florida! Click image for larger version

Buffalo Traffic Jam

Touring beautiful Custer SP near Rapid City SD when we suddenly found ourselves in the middle of several hundred bufalo! Pulled off and just watched from our Winnebago Travato for a couple of hours. Magical!

Wife is KK4AGN and uses DSTAR to talk to people all over the world while I (KK4AGN) am driving. She uses an ICOM I51A to a ZOOM-SPOT that talks to her hot spot on the I-PHONE. The digitally coded voice goes via internet anywhere in the world and comes out on a transmitter (repeater) to a native of the country contacted.
I remain very entertained and make occasional suggestions for conversations.

African Queen

The DW is a BIG Katherine Hepburn fan. Surprised her for our anniversary last year with a cruise on the actual African Queen boat from the movie which sails out of Key Largo for a trip out of the harbor and back. It is restored to original (only upgrade is an outboard motor required by the CG in case of emergency.) The captain has pictures from the filming and restoring the boat, and stories about the history. And nothing compares to hearing the unmistakable "chuthump...chuthump...chuthump.." of the steam engine.

An absolute must for Bogart/Hepburn fans. Guests even get a turn at the tiller so they can say they piloted the African Queen.
