Shore Power.
Hey does anyone know if by jumping a coach you can cause something to happen to the shore power.
I took my all electric MADP in to have Spartan service bulletin done and while at the dealer the batteries were allowed to go completely dead, chassis and house. They jumped me to get me going and the get set charged the batteries on the way home. When I got home I plugged in and could not get shore power to work. Two hours later the power was back on. Checked next day the power was off. Reset the inverter and power comes on but Two hours later it is off.

Thanks in advance for any help, Daryl

No, I don't think boosting has any relation to the operation of your charger/inverter. The only thing is when your batteries depleat, settings on some programmable features may require resetting. Based on your description, I am at a loss to come up with a senario. Perhaps you could expand on the problem symptoms or some other member may have an idea.

Sounds like your transfer switch is acting up. It charged under genset power and when moved to shore it seems to correctly switch to shore only to switch off of shore a couple hours later because maybe it thinks it needs to switch to genset erroneously. That's my guess. I believe your transfer switch is made by Intellitec and you can get manuals and test info at their web site. A battery boost would not affect the transfer switch.

If you had said it only losses charger capability after a couple hours I might point to the BIRD (also made by Intellitec) which I think your coach will have. It might be possible for a battery boost to partially zap the BIRD causing erratic operation of it, I don't know for sure.

I was told by Carl at Newmar the Magnum Energy 2800 filters all of the shore power. My EMS says I have 50 Amp all the time but the shore power comes on and off. I was next to the inverter one time as it came on with a click and I could here the micro fire up. When you plug the coach in the transfer switch is working with the large click. I'm supposed to leave for Disney Friday I guess I'll make a detour to Kooger's in Viginia on the way down.
Thanks, Daryl
