I accidently shorted one chassis battery (momentarily) to the chassis on my 2005 Dutch Star - now the slides nor the power awnings will work unless I turn off the main chassis power disconnect in the engine compartment - I have an appt. for next Mon. to have it looked at but the Newmar shop is 3.5 hrs. away - at the same time the overhead fans quit (fuse is good) and several indicator lights like genset, power window etc. stay on even though the key is off, they do go out when the chassis disconnect is off - what did i do - how to fix???
Note - the system acts like the interlocks believe that the ignition is on so it won't allow the slides or awnings to extend (both slides and awnings will work with main chassis power switch off).

I do not have an answer to your question. But, how did you short it?

I put a perforated rubber mat under the batteries to lessen the wear on the battery drawer paint but the add'l height caused the battery terminal or cable to arc when I closed the drawer
