Shower faucet replacement

Im trying to replace my Dutch Star 4025 shower faucet and associate Oxygenics shower head. I was able to remove the older faucet and mounting box from the shower wall (easy) but there is no room for me to pull out the box far enough to reach behind and unscrew. I tried to find out if there was any slack available in the basement but couldn't find the pipes leading to shower.

Suggestions for getting the box off far enough to remove faucet? Is there a place I"m not looking to give the pipes more slack?

Look for an access hole behind the shower enclosure. It could be hid by some drawers or a cabinet

Shower faucet replacement

I was able to pull mine up and out enough to get a hand on the fittings. I think I removed the 4 mounting screws securing the base that the faucet mounts on and pulled it loose from the shower wall.

Harleyjt is right you will have to just pull it up as much as possible and force a hand in there.
Simply no room!
