Shower Glass Panel issue on 4369

The gaskets used to retain the shower glass panel facing the rear of the coach are "popping" out of the metal frames on both sides. I push the gaskets back in - - but they work out again every time we travel. Last trip - both gaskets were on the floor and we became alarmed the glass panel would fall out on the floor. I used masking tape to hold the glass panel in place until we returned to home base. I'm hoping for advice on the best method to install the gaskets to ensure this issue won't repeat in the future - or is there some other reason this is happening?

Seems those gaskets should be glued in like a windshield? Maybe it got missed at the factory?

Don't know for sure - but I plan to use a little clear silicon when I re-install the gasket this time. I was hoping someone else had experienced this issue - and could provide me some direction.

I believe I have the same shower as you - probably the same manufacturer. I just noticed the top part of the gasket on one side easing its way out. I pushed it back in but have no confidence that it will stay. I'll be interested to see what other suggestions you get.

Does yours look like this?

Yep - exactly the same situation as mine. It started at the top - I reinserted - and didn't think much about it - but now it's become a bigger issue.

We had the same issue. After talking with the shower enclosure manufacturer Newmar replaced with the next size up gasket and used small spots of silicone to assist in holding. Working fine for 16 months now.

Where would the silicone go - in the channel or over the gasket? Going to be tough to do either way without making a mess. I used a spatula to reinsert it for now.

The Newmar techs used a tiny amount of silicone every 6 to 8 inches as they were replacing the gasket. The silicone was applied in the gap between the frame and glass just before inserting the gasket. The manufacturer felt we would not need the silicone but if it was used it should be used sparingly. The shower enclosure in our motorhomes are the same as in the housing industry. The gasket holds the glass in place by friction. The manufacturer for the Newmar enclosure uses 3 different sizes of gaskets based on a particular application. Ours needed the medium gasket.

We have the same issued with the rear panel of the shower in our '15 4269 Dutch Star. I will be following this issue for way to solve it but it now seems that clear silicone will be the answer the next time my gasket comes out.
