Shurflo 4048 Fresh Water Pump ILO Std
We're wondering why we see a lot of special order lists that include replacing the standard water pump with the Shurflo 4048. Why? We're wondering if this is something that we should include on our order for a Ventana. Thanks!

You should definitely upgrade the water pump. The Shurflo 4048 is a good choice and so is the Remco Aquajet-ARV which we will be using. Our dealer will be doing the swap for us. Either one is a good choice to replace the factory standard.

Why are these better than the standard factory water pumps? Newbie here, looking for an education. Thanks!

For me it's about stronger water pressure if this is important to you. The Remco delivers stronger pressure than the Shurflo but has a higher GPM (5 vs 4). I've had them both and this is only my opinion. Regardless, they are a relatively low cost upgrade from the factory standard.

Do the upgrade. Will help with the water pressure.

I know ours was automatically upgraded from normal Dutch Star pump since we have the 2 full baths. Pretty sure we have what comes standard on the King Aire as well as we have the King Aire oasis. Our pump delivers such good pressure we prefer it over city hookups & just use city water to keep tank full.

Is the King Aire Oasis different than the Dutch Star Oasis? Did you ask for that as a "special"?

Yes, we have the Oasis NE-S system that generates 85,000 BTU compared to the standard Oasis that generates 50,000 BTU (I think?). We did not ask for it, actually when at factory I thought they made a mistake as our Oasis system looked different than all other DS being built. They put the upgraded NE-S in ours due to having the 2 full baths to keep up with demand if we were ever using both showers at same time I guess.
