Side wall checking

Just a follow up, i asked carl at newmar for a price to replace our side walls & not paint it in march & he came down from $ 19,000. All the way down to $ 14,500,, our friends well be there in march with 02 dutch star, same job but with paint for $5000., must just be me !

Depends on if the problem showed up while the unit was under warranty and you have proof. Ours did and in 2004 I was at the factory and they buffed it out. Naturally it's come back since it's the wall material and not just the paint. At this point it's not worth fixing ours since it's not really noticeable. I do need to check my paperwork and see if they noted the work on the service order. If they did it should be covered, in not then I expect no coverage after 9½ years.

My 02 had some cracking in the dark paint areas. You have to get up close to see them. I have seen the same condition on much newer coaches in the dark painted areas. Dark paint attracts more heat so it seams like a problem most of us have to live with.
