I purchased a new 07 mtn aire in feb. 07, I have had many problems with the coach and most have been resolved, but I have 2 sidewall cracks on pass. side by the front slide and rear side, the cracks are appx 2 in. long. Newmar refuses to repair them because it is out of warranty, even thou they repaired the same rear crack at the factory in 07. They said I must have raised the rear jacks to high. I always hit auto level when I level the coach. This is my 10th motor home, the las four had slides and I've never had a sidewall crack.

Go higher up the food chain. Someone might be interested in doing the repair for "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION" who knows maybe you'll get lucky.

"They said I must have raised the rear jacks to high."

I would like to know more about raising the rear jacks. Just how high is too high? Is evidence of too high the sidewall cracks??!!

Cover with a decal(small Newmar or whatever decal). Works great did one on a banged compartment door and looks like original paint when it left the factory.

Why don"t we just put a state decal on every time we get a scratch?

Have you ever got a second opinion how the cracks could have happened?
If they are only on one side could have something wrong with wall structure when first built. A dealer like North Trail maybe could help, if there is, when contacting Newmar.
