Silver leaf VMSpc... What computer?
I've read thru a lot of old post on this topic but was wondering about anyone with an update on what tablet/laptop you use to display the VMSpc data. AND... How did you mount said hardware to your dash?

You can use a laptop. In my previous coach, I used a netbook (like a very small laptop). I had a small table between driver seat and passenger seat that I sat it on. Worked great.
My current coach has it built into the dash monitors which is quite nice.

I just used a cheap Acer netbook in the last rig. Present rig has a 400 CL built in.

Jerry, I run VMSpc on an old Surface Pro 2 running Windows 10.
I mount it to the dash using an iOttie Easy Smart Tap 2 Universal Car Desk Mount Holder Stand Cradle (Model #HLCRIO141). See photos below. It is adjustable and accommodates a wide range of tablet dimensions and thicknesses. It mounts to the dash using a sticky gel pad.
The mount is solid and is available on Amazon for about $35 at the link below.

I custom built a wooden shelf, that sits in the front left corner by the post and a piece of the laptop extending onto the top of the dash. Visually it's in the space between looking out the window, looking at the VMSPC, then left looking out the window to the mirror. Shelf is easily removable (no damage to coach), and very stable.
I have both idiot lights (red/yellow/green) as well as detail gauges, and I can easily see the idiot lights with a simple glance from the passenger seat when my wife is driving.
I run Windows on an older smaller laptop, and have Microsoft Streets and Trips running on it, and keep softcopy files on all of the manuals and support documentation for the coach. Also includes maintenance logs, gas logs, prior trip logs, etc.

Jerry, I run a small HP laptop (I believe 8") on the left side of the dash. I'm big on not making holes or personalizing things inside that the coach that can't be reversed when you're ready to sell. I see a lot of junky looking coaches where things were removed or became obsolete and would leave a hole if removed.
With that said, I used a small plastic cutting board, painted black, and attached atop the tower on the left side of the dash above the Parking brake. I used the current screws in the dash to hold brackets attached to the cutting board. I then velcroed the laptop on.
I know a tablet would look nice, but I've been running Silverleaf for almost ten years with the same laptop, which was reasonable back then. The small HP is still available. I also bought a model that offered a 12 volt power cord as an accessory. Again, back then it was easier to power it with 12 volts.
Here is a photo of it when I had my Monaco. I can take a picture of it in my DS if it would help you with mounting ideas. It' in a similar position, but a little higher in the Dutch Star. The first photo is with a wood frame, the second photo is with the cutting board.
Here is one I found of it in the Dutch Star. I have a TST tire monitor mounted to the front of it.
