Sleeping arrangements in 4307 or 4528 Mountain Aires

Hello all

This is my first post here on ivr2. I am currently a BigHorn 3800BH 5th owner but am looking to upgrade to a diesel pusher. My issue that I need some help with questions is how many people can you get to sleep in either a 4307 or 4528? I have 7 kids currently (some bio, some foster so that number may change at any time). My 3800BH works well for this since it has two sets of bunks in the back plus the sofa that converts plus an additional half bath. The 4307 and 4528 both have the additional half bath, but I am not sure how many of the sofa's or dinettes will convert to sleeping. I am trying to figure out if the L sofa in the 4307 will convert to a bed or if it is even big enough to sleep a kid just the way it is. Does the u dinette convert to a bed like some of the other standard booth dinettes do? I can prob sleep a few on the floor if I have to, but prefer to not if I don't have to. My goal is to get rid of taking two cars (my truck to pull the 5th and the van to haul the other 4 that won't fit). Can anyone help me answer the questions?

There is a saying that goes with Motor Homes:

Cocktails for 6, Dinner for 4, Sleeps 2

That's what your up against...

Welcome to the forum and irv2.
The ALLSTAR coach maybe up your line has large bed for adults twin beds above deck and coach up front, plus we had kids in sleeping bags on floor space available.
We traveled across Canada and U.S.A. pulling a sleeper popup that would sleep five of our foster children also.
We would rent vans when ever we needed one or used MH for commute to destination.
You can find Allstar DP's in Brochures 2007 to 2010 time period in this link for pass Newmar MH's.
The popup we had was a Dutchman made in 2000 and checked it yesterday and still in good shape for a load to a family in need from LA.
Most MH may have a convertible dinette, main bed and coach. tough for big family
Good luck in your hunt.

Even though this is a Newmar forum, I'm going to suggest you might need to look at another line. To the best of my knowledge Newmar does not offer units with bunk beds (someone correct me if I am wrong).

Before getting our Ventana we owned a Winnebago Forza that would have come close to meeting your needs. In addition to the Queen master bed it had a set of bunks, a pull-out couch, and a collapsable dinette. The Forza is Winnebago's entry-level diesel pusher and from our experience it was a quality RV at an affordable price.

Here is a link to the W website. The model you would be looking at is the 38R.

Forza | Floorplans | Winnebago RVs

I am sure there are other motorhomes with a bunk bed set up, but this is the only one with which I am personally familiar. Good luck in your search.

Oops. My bad. I did not click on 007's link above. Newmar does have a unit with bunk beds. Apologies. (Note to self: Read FIRST, post SECOND )

Thanks for the info guys...the all star pretty cool. If that garage floor plan had drop down bunks from the ceiling, I would be all over that one since I could get the atv around without a trailer. The family one is nice and might talk to my wife about it. If I can get enough sleeping areas in dinettes and sofas though I won't need the bunks. I was looking at the 4307 and 4528's due to the fact they have 1.5 baths, which is more important than beds. I can always add sleeping bags on the floor, but prefer not to have x number of kids try to "hold it" while someone is in the shower. I would prefer if they can sleep off the floor, but it is what it is. I am also trying to find something that works for the dw and I after the kids start leaving so I don't have to loose my ass on an upgrade later.

As a 4528 owner, I would have to say 5 - 6 people tops. The Euro dinette is not capable of sleeping anybody. The other factory option is table and chairs. The sofa makes a queen bed and the jackknife sofa may sleep 2 small children. Using both would utilize most of the floor space. Level of comfort would be very subjective, but you seem to have a much higher threshold than most.
