Slide Controller Location on a 08 KSDP 3916

Front and back slides will not extend whether on shore power or generator power(driver side slides work fine). When trying to extend front I get a "whirring" sound and no sound when trying rear slide. I'm assuming I don't have a fuse problem due to sound and am assuming controller problem. Thinking of switching passenger and driver controllers to prove or disprove controller malfunction. Where can I find the controllers and should I be looking at other issues? Thanks!

Hi glemo81540,
Look under the bathroom sinks and vanities. If not there, look in the middle of the basement up by the frame rails.

As Gary said plus under kitchen sink or in linen closet or on your frame rails.
Check your 12v fuse panel for loose wiring at screw connections both + and - leads.
When you find the controllers unplug wiring connectors, pull connector plug and check wires in plug and clean with a contact spray especially if on frame rails box may not be tightly sealed.
Motors need to work with a good 12v's. May want to check negative battery cables to chassis frame.

Newmar slide spec with trouble section, other links for slide lock operation in QT's 1 & 2.

I dont have a KS but my LR slide controller is under the sink by the entry door and I found my BR slide controller by accident the other day. It's mounted to wall inside a lower BR storage door. You may want to open all your BR closet doors and stick you head in to find it as they are hard to see (and in my case hard to get to).
Let us know where you find it.
