when we got home after our last trip, DH noticed that the passenger LR slide wasn't in all of the way. cautioned me to make sure that I held the button long enough next time to bring the slide in. was sure that I had but I promised to do better next time . so, held the button and put the slide away - again.

DH brings in MH for our trip this weekend. upon arrival, passenger LR slide is out 1/4 inch .

until we can get in for service, should the slide locks (which were/are in use) keep the slide from going out much farther ??

Hi KSDP_PA,

The short answer is the locks will not allow the slide to extend beyond the point where they were engaged.

My assumption is you have the manual locks. If this is true, I am surprised you can even lock the locks. My manual locks pull the slide in the last 1/4' or so. This ensures a good structural integrity with the rest of the wall.

1. Are the locks locked when you see the gap?

2. Is the front and rear of the slide out the same amount? If so the slide is not coming in all the way to begin with, the solution may be the controller may need to be turned up a bit. Newmar can advise you on the the controller location and how to make the adjustment.

3. If only one end of the slide is out a bit, that is a different problem.
