Not quite enough information.

When at ride height (no leveling) on a flat level surface, what does your reveal look like? The reveal is the gap between the MH fiberglass wall and the slideout fiberglass wall.

A bad reveal on level ground will mean you have an alignment problem. If the bottom is not flush (causing incoming light, then your motor is not pulling the slide in completely. Are your slideout locks closing fully?

Take some pictures at ride height on level ground. I have been doing a deep, deep dive into my slideouts (both physical and electrical) for the past few months.

It sounds like your cog wheel has slipped one of the holes in its rail.
You need to have the torque nuts released so the slide can be push in flush to your coach reset wall opening,
This thread may help show you what may have to be done if you have a tag axle.

Slide is below frame about 3/8" to 1/2 inch
Closes and opens but noticing the rubber striping is starting to chew up.
The slide has a flat bottom with no exposed rails.
Is the roller mechanism under the bed?
