I have read about but do not really understand the adjustments that can be made to the slide. Facing the slide from the inside, the left side, thats by the dining table goes out all the way and fits flush with the inside of the r/v wall. as you go to the right there is a gap that gets larger and larger between the inside of the r/v and the back of the slide.when it gets to the end of the slide right behind the drivers seat, I can easily put 2 fingers in the gap between then slide and the inside wall of the r/v. This is at the top of the slide if I failed to mentioned this. Every adjustment I have tried has not affected the distance or gap in any way. If someone can help me of have as answer to this problem I would appreciate it. I have measured the distance between the 2 lock nuts and the end threaded rod under the slide and both sides are the same. Also the measurement on the 2 outside lock nuts and the amount of the rod extending out of the end and both sides are the same at 7/8 inch. Im at a loss. This is also the side of the slide that will not lock, so I would bet that when I get the top the side flush with the inside, when I bring the slide in, I would hope I would be able to lock the slide arm. I cant do it now even with the slide arm locking tool.

Are your stop nuts hitting the back of the stop plate or do you have a gap between the plate and nuts? On both ends of slide.
