I have a 98 mountainaire DP 40'. Trying to find the control box to adjust the amperage to the slide out motor. I have looked in the basement along the rails to no avail. The wires from the motor go through the basement wall forward past the LP tank and then I have no idea. does anyone have a suggestion as to where to look and what the box may look like.
Thanks,

Hi RotorWing,
Try under all the sinks and inside under counter cabinets.

The controller is probably mounted against the wall under the kitchen sink. Don't turn the adjustment too much. Turn it 1/8 turn clockwise and try the slideout. If the slide still hangs up turn it another 1/8 turn.

If you have a china closet on bathroom wall it could be in there.

Thank you everyone for your responses. Norm Pane was dead on, it is under the kitchen sink.
Thanks again,
Chris

Are you sure that you need to adjust the current and not the limit rod. On my gas rig there are "IN & "OUT" adjustment nuts.

The in and out are perfect. I installed wood flooring and the slide has a lot of trouble coming in since the flooring is just a little thicker than the old carpet. I also put down thin rubber matting under each roller to keep the floor from being damaged. I have to hit the slide control three to four times to start it coming in, after that it works fine.

The rollers have to come up a incline as long as you allowed the bevel edge to match up with your new floor and not cause the rollers to get caught on your new floor edge you should be ok.
If the floor edge is beyond the sloop or in where the rollers have to rise up to new floor level you may need to add a beveled edge along the new floor. The motor in time may blow the fuse if it has to draw to much current.
The adjustment on control box will not give the motor more power its just to adjust the current draw to help stop the slide when it hits the wall in or out. It will stop the motor because it draws more current, to activate the control board, when slide hits the wall, to shut off motor.
