Hi
could anyone please help me with advice, or info on installing a roller on my slide out "directly behind the driver seat. Probably should change all four of them while I am at it. What procedure do I use to replace them. Does the whole slide need to come off ???
It is on my 2001 Kountry Star DP.
Thanks in advance, "much appreciated"
Kraut
Ed

Here's a recent thread that has a link to Slideout information from Newmar. There is a section on replacing carpet that may help you on p15. Hope this helps!

It will be a job replacing if they are not causing any problems, you know the saying.
IF you do have one causing a problem by all means replace them all.

I believe Newmar's system for the flush floor slide is the same as my Holiday Rambler Endeavor's on the driver side. I recently installed wood flooring and had to remove the carpet and the plastic roller cover that is under the carpet on the slide itself. Once that was removed and the slide was extended all the way out the rollers that are mounted in the floor are exposed and are very easy to work on, clean, lube and adjust. I had to adjust mine so it doesn't rub on the new flooring,,,carpet does not care if the slide touches it but wood does. Good luck to you here is some pictures

Thanks Jimmy
The floor plan looks the same as Newmar, and will attempt the project soon. I will also do all four rollers and then it should be good to go. I have one more campout to do prior to fixing, and am hoping it continues to work one more time.
Thanks again to you and all who sent me info.
The Forum is a fantastic place of 'valuable" sharing and caring.
Thanks again
Kraut
