I have had three slide relays go bad in my Dutch Star in the last few months. The bedroom "in" relay failed when the slide was out. I replaced the in relay and the out relay failed immediately. I replaced it and the front driver side slide out relay failed. I don't know what I will experience when we leave where we are now. I worked the bedroom slide for about four weeks with an extension cord direct from the batteries to the slide motor until I could find where the relays were actually located on the coach and get new ones. If the passenger side slide relays fail, I will have to find them next. They aren't with the driver side slide relays.

I could hear the coil pull in the contacts on two of the failed relays so the contacts must not have made properly. The third one must have had a bad coil because it made no sound at all when energized.

Anyone have any ideas on why these relays are failing at the same time?

Barry

I would check your fuse panels for loose wiring, both battery & ground maybe causing high resistance connection causing relay to heat up.
I have controls in linen closet, under kitchen sink cabinet and have found in a hutch cabinet.
In the Newmar slide thread in Quick Tips there has been problems with the control switch because of release from normal.
I do know a bad motor drawing to much current will burn out the controls.
Your talking about two different motors.
