When I changed the rollers under the driver's slide, I inflated three wheel barrow inner tubes under the floor of the slide after pulling it half way in. You can only lift the slide four or so inches, but there is enough room to remove and install the new rollers. Hope this helps.

Richard S.,

I know this thread is a little old, but I just want to thank you for the link to the RV rollers. My SO found rollers at the link you posted that are just what we needed for our 1998 Alumascape. We're replacing the carpet with Allure Ultra and the slide without rollers was damaging the flooring.

Pictures of the roller we used (7" wide), before and after installation (but no trim in place yet).

I am going to tell you a much shortened story, In this story is a moral.

I had a car once which had a part that was an "Expermental" part, Well, The company decided not to carry that part any more... And the non-expermental, Simply did not hold up well (Lasted about 10 minutes)

Turns out a combination of the two was fantastic, Lasted years.

When I could not get the expermental part... I put in the "Standard" and of course it went bad very fast.. But in the meantime I called the company.. By sweet talking enough people I got switched to a warehouseman who told me the name of the company which actually made the expermental part and their catalog number for it.
A quick call to them obtained the name of another company which used that part and their part number.. A visit to their local dealer snagged me a pair of 'em and those two lasted till the car was toasted by a drug overdose.

(Yes a drug overdose.. The shuttle truck from Sentry Drugs failed to stop in time and dosed right over the rear of said car)
Home is where I park it!
