Help. We are trying to locate a slide roller for the living room slide front closest to the driver for a 2005 DP Dutch Star 4320. It looks about 8 inches long. We have called Newmar and Spartan and they are not available and don't know where we can buy one. Does anyone know where we can get one or just the bearing that fits into the roller.
Thanks in advance
Bob

Bob, try McMaster Carr for bearings. The link is for ball bearings but there are lots of other bearing types they carry.

Naturally Spartan would not have it, they only make the chassis not the house.
But Newmar parts didn't have it?
Did you talk to Jeanne Stump, the parts goddess?

You might call Newmar parts back and ask again. We have an '05 4320 that I replaced the carpeting with tile this past winter and had no problem getting the smaller replacement rollers. Changing them was a different animal though. Good luck.

When you call back give them your coach build number they will match it to the parts you will need.
This link will tell you all about the info you need for your NEWMAR slides.

I am going to have to replace a roller soon. My drive mechanism seems to be of the same design. I wondered if you could share any advice on how to go about the replacement?
Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to the Newmar forum & irv2 Mike.
Thanks for the welcome, looks like some valuable info you have compiled. Do you remember what heading the info on lifting the slide to replace rollers is under? Can't seem to find the right section.
Thanks,
Mike

"General Slide Information" scroll down to near end of text.
You will move slide out about 1/2 way and with much help you all tip slide and someone place's blocks under floor of slide so you can work on your belly to replace roller.

You have a large choice on that link but I would stick with Newmar and when you order have your coach build number and indicate where roller is, if its under a refrigerator on slide, roller may be different.
I purchased a spare and it was not that expensive.

Newmar had the rollers in stock last month and I'm sure they have them now because they put them in new RVs every day. For your 2005 Dutch Star they used two sizes of rollers depending on the type of floor you have. (Carpet, ceramic tile, vinyl) Call back to Newmar parts with your six digit Coach Number and they can tell you the part number and ship it to you. I suggest you order an extra couple of rollers to have on hand for when you need them.

I just recieved new rollers for my '03 dutch Star. Talked to whoever answered the parts line, no problems. Mine were for the kitchen slide, & I believe the living slide uses diffferent rollers.
