I have a 2006 DSDP, 38' 3 slides. I notice lately that some of the slides are making slight squeaking type noises when opening and closing. I can't tell yet exactly where the noises are coming from. Do I need to lubricate some parts to get rid of the noise? If so, what areas should I cover, and what product?

Also, the front slide bracket, which is directly behind the driver, tends to rattle when driving on semi rough surfaces. It can get annoying, and it rattles in both the locked (up) and unlocked position. I tried wrapping a bungee cord around it, but it only helps a little. Any ideas for that one?

I slide a pillow between the slide and the bracket.

You can remove the bar and using a hammer hit the clamp to tighten so it locks to ball bearing tighter.

I have a 2000 DSDP 38' w/2 slides. And from time to time the living room slide sounds like a screaming banshee. I've done all the usual lubricating to no avail. It doesn't seem to slow anything down, and it goes in and out just fine. It would probably be disconcerting to anyone camped next to us if I was hitting the road really early in the AM.

Ok, well the rattling slide arm isn't too bad for now. I am not sure I want to hit the clamp with a hammer, as I don't know what I am doing. I will take a look at it again and see if I want to try that. As for the slideout noise, it is not too bad, but there must be some way to hit a few parts with some silicone spray or something to keep it from getting worse. Thanks for your advice!

You understand you need to remove bar with eight screws and hit on hard surface, only the clip on bar and not the bearing.
