I would check the wiring in back of light, spade clip may have fallin off, on dash and wiring on roof, if you can see it, may have had ice on roof if your not in FL.
I think the wires go over towards the BIRD for termination.

I had the same trouble a while back (97 dsdp), the solar panel active light never seemed to come on anymore.
I climbed up on the roof for a different reason, and noticed that the solar panel was very very dirty and had collected water. Cleaned it off and the panel worked again.
I think the solar panel design might need a little refinement (don't know if it has gotten refined in later years)
The panel is flat, with raised edges. It collects water that doesn't have any way to drain off, and the water also attracts dirt and dust. If the water evaporates, the panel is dirty and doesn't let light through as easily.
So clean the solar panel thoroughly and you might have better luck.

Update on the no light problem. As said before, checked fuse, OK. Took light on dash out and discovered a loose wire in the back of the light. Will replace the light when I figure out where to find one.
Thanks all.

My solar panel light just quit operating to show the unit is charging. Checked fuse and wires behind unit. Fuse OK and wires seem to be connected. Cleaned roof solar panel. Still no ligh on dash.
Have you solved the problem yet? Is it a bad light bulb and is it separate from the round unit? Any source for replacement?
Thanks.

Somewhere deep in the darkest (dankest?) corner of my noggin, I recall something that the dash light is actually a bit more than just a light. Some type of controller or maybe a diode or something. Anyone else have this vague recollection? Anyone call Camp Newmar or Camp Parts about it?
