Hi All,
Does anyone know where the 5 watt solar panel actually connects to the chassis batteries on an '07 Essex?
I have 4 physical connections at the 2 chassis batteries marked as follows
1. Powertrain IGN Service
2. Powertrain Batt Source
3. Clean Power to front chassis Power Distribution System.
4. Trailer Batt Charge
I pulled each wire looking for voltage from the solar panel and found none???

Any suggestions??

Thanks
Steve

Instead of connecting to chassis battery the wires may go to your chassis battery solenoid.
Negative side would be to common negative ground point.

You might try the shore power bay, behind the Velcro'd on panel in the back. That's where the BIRD, Bat Boost and associated relays are as well as the default installed "solar prep" wire runs.

I suspect that 5w panel can actually tap in just about anywhere, especially being up front where there are all sorts of battery direct tap-offs are.

How about a call to Newmar-land? If you have a signal tracer you might attach it to the wires on the red indicator light and see if you can follow the signal.
