Sony TV issue
The Sony TV in the living area of our 2018 Canyon Star is giving us some grief.
It worked fine all summer and fall but in the last two weeks we've experienced four occurrences where it wouldn't turn on.
A simple unplugging of the TV and replugging in fixes the issue....until it happens again.
I've connected the TV to the WiFi here in our RV park and tried to download a software update in the hopes that would fix the issue but I get a message saying the TV could not download the update over that network.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a permanent solution?
Our two other Sony TV's have not had this issue.

Winepress is correct, Sony has come out with an update that fixes this issue along with make the remotes only operate the tv your pointing them at. You need to connect the tvs one at a time to the Internet , settings and update.

I would maybe replace the batteries in the remote and make sure they are in correctly. Also, if too close to tv, the remote won't work. I have this problem with my Vizio tv's in my Baystar. Usually if I use the power button on the tv to turn it on the remote will work ok after that to change channels and such.

Okay thanks.
I've connected it to our RV park's WiFi a few times and tried to download the software update but it wasn't successful each time. I assume it's due to the weak WiFi.

That is probably the case, it takes a strong connection

Many Sony TVs can accept a software update from a USB mem stick. I.E, download to a PC (at another location), store on USB memory, transfer to Sony TV.

Hi - I checked for the latest update for the TV's and it found none. I then went to Sony on the computer and found there was a newer update. For whatever reason the TV would not automatically find it but when loaded via a USB drive it updated. Current version is 4.320. Not sure why it doesn't find the update directly over the internet.

Ricci,
I went to Sony's support page and located the update for our model and the update version number I see matches what you said....4.320.
I see it's 139 MB. No wonder I couldn't download it via the park's WiFi.
I'll download it to a flash drive and try that route.

Mark - On your original issue, just remember that TV's now are not receivers, but rather computers that work off of packets. Because they lack sufficient memory and computing power they will lock up on occasion. If there are other signals in the area they get easily confused and lock up tight. Some brands are better than others and Sony seems to be very susceptible. (I've had days where I wanted to put a "Microsoft" tag over the Sony tag). I miss my old LG in my former coach as it was stable and gave access to the browser which the Sony doesn't.

Try launching a hot spot on your phone and connecting it to your TV
