Greasing a Spartan chassis is a straight forward, albeit nasty / messy job UNTIL I get to the two universal joints between transmission, drive shaft and differental??? There are two grease zerk sized "things" on each differental that are where zerks should be but are definately not zerks. What are they?

If you are talking the U-Joint Zerks, often two Zerks per U-Joint, the Zerk is probably covered with a rubber cap (probably red in color) that must be pulled off (fingers work fine) before you can grease them. Just grab the cap and pinch/wiggle the cap off. Optional to replace it, though I do. Hit each Zerk until you clear grease at all 4 cups.

Don't forget the slip joint too, Spartan says it should be greased every 5,000 miles, this is a change from previous recommendations BTW.
None of my driveshaft zerks has had a cover on them and I got mine new direct from Newmar through the dealer with no service having been done.

Thanks for the feed back. It's a simple zerk cover. Here is a link that says "mystery solved". GREASE FITTING CAPS, GREASE FITTING COVERS, ZERK COVERS, DUST CAPS
