St. Augustine campground recommendations
On our way home to Michigan from Orlando area and plan on stopping in St. Augustine and looking for recommendations on where to stay. Thanks.

Hi Tigerfan1,
Consider Stage Coach RV Park at http://www.stagecoachrv.net/ Close to I-95 and CW is at the same exit (exit 318). If touring St. Augustine is in your plans, it is an easy drive to the trolley parking lot. Parking in downtown St Augustine is terrible. Always consider parking at the trolley parking lot and take the trolley wherever you want to go. The trolley has many stops.

Been a while but we used to stay at Bryn Mayr right on the beach. Concrete pads and close to lots of things to do.
We found out not to take the site right on the beach. We got sand blasted! Moved in from the water.
It's south of St Augustine on Hwy 1.

We like North Beach Campground in Vilano Beach. Also if your are a member of the Elks, the lodge in St Augustine has a few sites. They have water and electric only, no sewer hook up so if you are only going to stay a couple of days that might be an option

Tigerfan1 ... after checking out parks to stay at like you are doing, we wound up staying at Stage Coach on several trips. Easy access from I-95 as well.

If your taking your time, lots of snow in Michigan, travel up the coast to ST Aug. on 1A and stay at Beverly Beach and your parked right over the sandy beach and can watch the sun rise and big moon rise.
Safe travels back to Michigan.

x2 on North Beach - Intercostal on 1 side of the place and the ocean on the other side. 2 restaurants on site. Easy drive into town .

We stayed at Beverly Beach for a week last month halfway between St Augustine and Daytona on A1A. Made day trips to Ponce lighthouse south of Daytona and did a Segway tour of St Augustine. Nice place and got to watch an evening SpaceX launch as bonus.

Stage Coach is OK, the Trolley will pick you up there if you don't have a toad. Anastasia would be #1 choice if you can get a spot. But I don't know if the trolley picks up there.
