I have only had small splash backs since install and they worked good. In the past I've experienced few large splash backs and I think these will work some but maybe not completely. If I get diesel on paint I wipe up immediately with the paper shop towel I always have in my hand when fueling. Often in those cases I get some water to pour over the area. Not sure water really washes diesel away but I try. Finish cleaning the area at end of the day and put a little wax in the area. So far I've been lucky with the paint.

But they do look good!
