A month ago I tried to start my Mountain Aire
gasser (98) and the battery was so dead
it couldn't even be charged. bought a new
battery, everything worked fine. I started
the coach every two weeks but today the
battery is once again so dead it can't be
resuscitated. Anyone know something about this?
I'm going to all the Newmar resources I can
find and I'll be getting a replacement
battery tomorrow, but I need to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks

If you already have a new battery and its the maintenence free one and you fully charged the new battery with a battery charger I wouldn't think you need another new battery.
I would recharge the new battery with the battery and ground cables disconnected. Take a voltage reading of fully charged battery. Than reconnect your batt&ground and take another reading to see if your are getting a heavy draw of your fully charge batt. You will get some but only the radio, LP detector and electric steps but not that much that it will drain the batt down fast. You should also have a 5w solar panel to make up for the small drain form radio etc, etc.
Let us know how your making out.

Thanks 007. Good advice. I have
the 5w charger, but was wondering if
it was totally superfluous or even malfuctioning,
as it was supposedly topping off this
'new' battery all the time it was dying.

Art, if you do not see red led lit during sunny hours you could have a 5amp fuse blown on fuse panel under your access panel on dash.
