Your diesel engine requires a lot of amps from the two starting batteries .
Freightliner spec is 950 CCC , each ,on my coach and I'd think Spartan would be the same . I'll be at my coach later and give you the battery " Group #"
If one chassis battery is bad , replace both ; it won't be cheap; but to keep your coach starting reliably that's what's required.

Call , Napa , Auto Zone, or any battery shop in your area for prices .

Just bought 2 Alliance 1000 CCA sealed batteries for $105 + tax each including core at a Florida Freightliner dealer (Alliance is the OEM brand for Freightliner / Cummins). They also had 950s and 1100s for a little less and little more respectively.

Thanks for the information. I am thinking of either Interstate through Costco or Duracell through Sam's. Any pro's or con's on these two?

Regrets - have no personal experience with those brands. Friends who use them are satisfied and especially appreciate the number of locations where battery warranties can be honored - but they've never had to invoke the warranty.

I just bought 2 chassis batteries at NAPA 3 weeks ago. 950 CCA group 31. It was bucket sale time so buying a $3 bucket saved me 20% and I have another bucket for washing the cars/rig.

Thanks for the replies. I bought two Interstate 950 CCA batteries from Freightliner for $83.00 each.
