I have an '05 Dutch Star 4320 with a spartan chassis. I have a small degree of road wander and am have to constantly compensate for this. I have been told that the Blue Ox True Center stabilizer will cure this. Others have said it is a waste of money. Does anyone have this and what are your thoughts..Thank you

I put it on my '98 dutchstar diesel pusher and have since taken it off. That probably says it all but I will elaborate. I too have been trying to eliminate a wander which is why I added it. After putting about 5000 miles on it, I removed it because I felt it did not do much to return the steering to center or to hold it there. In addition, it added quite a bit of stiffness to the turning of the wheel to a point where the stiffness actually contributed to the wander. I removed it and am much happier to be back where I was. Still trying to eliminate the wander but steering better in the meantime. I guess I probably just eliminated any chance of reselling this thing however, if you insist on trying one, drop me a note.

If I remember correctly, and anyone can correct me or disagree, I believe the first thing Spartan recommends in the case of wander is check your ride heights. The balance of the coach will affect the handeling...also weigh coach and inflate properly. Both those are simple tricks to try and stop the wander...on my 98 dsdp as my fuel went down so increased my wander so I kept tank always above 1/2 full and it handled better...jmho

Hi TonyDi,
I do not have the Tru-Center system. I do have the Howard System, which precedes the Tru-Center. If I was to make a purchase today, I'd buy the Tru-Center system. For my coach there was a remarkable improvement. My coach did not have a slight wander. It drove like a dog hunting rabbits!

I did all the chassis checks by more than one Spartan Service center. Even went to Spartan in Charlotte. All I got for my money was all the parts and adjustments were within spec. The Howard System kept me from selling the coach. Now it drives like a dream, no complaints.

I stopped mine with upgrading the shocks. I was constantly correcting, now it's dead straight.
