White manual says orange light under step should come on when the Patio lights are on. This includes the inside step light, the over door light and the handle.

Assuming this light was out, I got under to check the bulb and for power. I noticed the light is wired into the step controller and only works when the step switch is on.

First, the manual says it is supposed to work w/the patio switch.

Second, you need that light when you are entering the coach a lot. I believe most of us turn that switch off. I know I never need it on because when the engine is running it overrides that switch.

So the light is useless as wired now and doesn't seem to be wired per the white manual.

Mine is wired to the patio light switch. The inconsistency in what we are reporting maybe due to having the Amish wire our coachs.

I can't believe I just said that.

Hi! At least you have one. Does anyone know if we are supposed to have one on the 07 MADP with the fancy new steps? I can't find it. Do any of you 07 Essex guys have a under step light? Paul
