Since we bought our 2011 canon star 3856 I still can't figure out how to get the speakers in the bedroom to work. Yes I flipped the switches on the wall . It has a sony str-dh510 multi channel receiver. Do they work off the main receiver or off the bedroom tv?

In my Canyon Star they only worked with the dash radio/ CD player. They do not work with the bedroom TV. I'm not sure with your receiver, I think it's the same one I had, if you choose which speakers are active in the receiver they may work with the receiver. My Sony had configurations ranging from just two front speakers active with no sub, to all 5 in ceiling with sub and possibly (can't remember for sure) the bedroom speakers too. I really think it's just with the dash radio though.

I hope this helps some.

Best regards,
W.D.

Oddly, they work off the dash radio only, not the house stereo.

They work off your radio and are controlled by the fader.

Sorry it took so long. But yes you're right it worked just off of the dash radio. Odd.
Thank you all.
