Got home late last evening from picking up Jeff's '06 4304 MADP and dropping off a very nice '03 Journey...There were people waiting to see the Journey when we were emptying it...
Did the PDI with my buddy Jeff and the tech from the dealership,a MUCH different experience from this dealer than from where I bought the Vectra....EACH issue was met with a departure from tech to fetch the delivery/get ready manager, who is the "assigning" guru for the crew. When there was a repair issue, the tech went and got the service manager and they put someone on it RIGHT then.
At one time there were SIX people working on the coach....I realize every that not every dealership can do this, since some dealers don't have SIX total employees, but this was impressive.
Jeff's coach had a water leak under the sink in the supply line that goes in and out with the slide...been there myself...The tech fixed the leak AND replaced the panel where the water had visibly "mildewed" the finish over time. There's also two "rubbed off" areas where the sliding genset tray has been contacing the lower part of the swing door and rubbed off paint...This will have to be put in the body shop to fix....We DID get the tray adjusted though.
I got the chance to drive the buggy mid-trip and was very impressed with it....The IFS and the 400 is a similar setup to what I've been used to in the Vectra and the tag axle sure seemed to "beef" up the rear end's "squattiness" going down the road...
Jeff nor I either one liked the way the Pioneer rear cam setup is displayed through the flip up nav screen,as it's really uncomfortable to make almost a ninety degree head turn to see.
(Hope the Essex rear cam comes through the Triptek...)
All in all I was VERY impressed with the wood trim "fit and finish" of the MADP and the tile all the way to the bedroom sure is nice as well...

What is everyone else doing that has the Newmar "king size" bed?
Jeff told me today his bed is 72 x 80...Not compatible with California or regular king size sheets..
Guess I'll be in the same boat too...

I guess the same that we did with the so called Queens, the bed sheets, not the guys that try and wash your windsheilds at a stop light.
If that were the only problem to face with buying such a great coach, I'll deal with it.

I thought your king was bigger than his king, Cal sheets 72x84 JC Penny with deep sides, if to long can fold under or stich. Which would you prefer cotton or silk. They also have specialty sheets do not say what size.

Me too Peter....I did find a "custom" sheet company online where you specify the size and they'll make the sheets....That's probably what I'll do.
