Sub Woofer
Ok..I give up...anyone know why the sub-woofer in my new 14 Newmar Baystar is not working. I have used the settings on the Sony rec. with no help.
Not sure if it is also supposed to work with the chassis radio or just the surround.
Hmmmm

Have you looked on the sub for an on/off button?
It got me ! Button was hidden behind the tie down strap.

The subwoofer only designed to work with the surround system.

Here is your sub-woofer in kitchen cabinet.
Looks like it may have a inline fuse at the bottom of it.

I agree with Andy. Unless your radio is somehow tied into the surround sound system then the subwoofer would not work with it.

If that's what the sub is supposed to look like in my 2014 Bay Star, then I don't think I have one - even though I should. There is no way I missed seeing something like that in a cabinet. Is there any chance they could have built it into a wall behind a panel? I do have a flat panel about that size, on the back wall under the sink. It looked to me like there were screws holding the panel on place, but I didn't have a flash light and I was looking around and over DW's "stuff".

On the Dutch Star it is behind that panel in the kitchen sink cabinet.

You would need to remove the wood panel which is there to protect speaker.
If you have a surround system this speaker should be there.

Yup, only works with the TV and turn up the volume. I didn't think the ceiling speakers in the kitchen area worked until I turned up the volume.

I might have to do some re-wiring. I am thinking of installing a sound bar with it's own sub, for the TV. I have one on my Samsung 55" in the S/B and love it. That would leave the sub and ceiling speakers for the "Surround Sound" tuner.

I did this on my Tiffin and I intend to install it on a CS (if I get one). It sounds much better than the surround system they have. How does the HDMI switching work if the surround sound option is not taken? Will I just get the Bluray player only?
