Unhappy Tag axle hub is gone, gone!

Well, it didn’t cause any accidents.
Oh, and it didn’t tear up the motorhome at all.
Going down the rode between Mountain Home, ID and La Grande, OR, our left tag axle wheel, brakes, hub and pretty much everything separated from our RV. The spindle was damaged. This was caused by a seized wheel bearing. Our RV is a 1998 Newmar Kountry Star F53 chassis with a Granning hub. We have been bounced around from Newmar, to Ford, to Dexter, to Granning. It turns out that parts are no longer made for this hub. So we have sent emails to RV salvage yards. One no parts and two haven’t responded yet. Would you guys have any ideas?

Contact the truck shops in the area, including the truck stops that have shops, TA, Petro, etc. they will have the # of a axel refurbisher that can fix your axel, spindle, and get you back on the road! You do have the wheel, drum, and everything that came off your MH? Here is a Co. that does this type of repair.
Give them a call, see what you can find out! Also, if you are heading home, you can chain up the axel, and go on home, and then have someone fix it? Hope this gets you in the right direction! Rail!

Nope

We have not been able to find the wheel, hub, brakes, tire, etc. We will check on getting the axle fixed up though.

Call your insurance Co. also, the parts that came off your MH are covered under comp.!
I had the same thing happen to my Semi trailer once, and my insurance covered everything except the failed bearing! Rail!

I'd call the insurance company too...you never know, they might just pick up the tab.

Dis brakes kit

Have you looked for a disc brake conversion kit. I think I seen somewhere that someone had converted theirs over. When I did it to an old car I got the new spindle and all in the kit.
