Tail pipe extension.

I have a 2001 DSDP and the chrome tail pipe extension needs to b replace. Google it but nothing has anyone replace it. It appears to 5X21 with a turn down.

I once left a camp site with a dip in the road. At the next site I found that It had ripped the tail pipe extension completely off. I didn't see why a new one wouldn't have the same fate so I replaced it with a 90 degree angle and a short extension. No problems since. Most any truck supply facility has these kind of parts available.

Have a nice day - Darrel

I put a rivet in the chrome tip because we lost the tip on a trip. Also turned tip to the side to help with dust being blown around on dirt roads and RV parks.

As Darrel said, any truck shop will have the part-- it's just a generic 5" exhaust tip. And you'll need a 5"-6" hose clamp to mount it. Be sure you get good quality SS. Also, there's about a 20" section of exhaust pipe from the muffler out to the tip. Does that need replacement as well?

One caution: at a truck shop you'll get a tip made of good heavy duty well chromed steel. It will tolerate the heat, and last. But it will cost you a few bucks. The ones you order online are cheaper, and they're often cheaper. May turn out to be pretty lightweight stuff, and you won't know 'til it's delivered.

Just bought one at NAPA. 5" 21 long turn down. Aluminized steel. 54.00. Hope this helps. The 5" clamp is extra. About 6 bucks.. I did not replace the 20 inch pipe from the muffler. It was just fine...
